Trust and Apartment Management Companies

Apartment maintenance is a position held by someone that renters should be able to trust and believe that when they have to enter into your residence that its ok nothing will happen. But in a recent incident this was not the case at all. Apartment maintenance is the ones that are suspected to be behind the criminal act of taking from a tenant and being allowed to continue to conduct business as usual.

When leaving your home there should not be a feeling of not being able to at least trust the people that are in control of the upkeep of your residence. Although having a safe place to live is idealistic, the reality of it is not as pretty as it sounds. Apartment maintenance is not the only one that should be held accountable for the safety that is to be used. It is the responsibility of the entire complex or community to look out for the security and safety of each other. No one wants to speak up until it happens to them, then the reality hits home like a ton of bricks.

Apartment maintenance has a responsibility to fix and repair not take and destroy. For them to continue to work as though nothing has happened is unreal and says they will strike again. The fact is they have done it before and because they have not been caught in their eyes they are slick and untouchable. Even the managers cannot catch them or so they think, but what they have failed to realize is that getting away with a crime never last for very long.

Apartment maintenance is much needed for any residence, just not if it is going to cost you everything that you have worked for, as well as a sense of safety and security when away from the home. The purpose of paying for all the extra security is for a reason. Nothing is one hundred percent guaranteed, but you should at least feel a sense of safety from inside theft.

When management does not even take the safety and security of the tenants more seriously and allows maintenance personnel to continue to carry on as though nothing has happened, then its time to relocate and put the word out that safety is not a priority at this location. Word of mouth can do as much harm as not taking care of tenants that have been done an injustice at the place they are paying extra for added security and safety.

Cheaper in not always a good thing. It is better to pay for the things you are looking for rather than cut expenses to save a few dollars and in the end, it costs more. If you lost things of value, sometimes sentimental value which means those you can never get back, then cheap rent want not worth it. To get up everyday, go to work and acquire the things you desire, only come home and have them taken away by someone that was to be a trusted employee is like a slap in the face.

To know that this happened but cannot point out which person or persons are responsible is aggravating as can be. Trying to carry on as normal as possible is even more frustrating. It is like a since of helplessness. Short of moving out and filing a police report, only to be told it will be checked into is the extent of how you have just been stripped of your things.

Luckily, most apartment communities do hold themselves to a high code of ethics and perform background checks as well as have measures to hold apartment maintenance personnel accountable for their actions.
