The answer falls on you
- Welcome to the property management blog, our diary of the property management industry. I passed a building today that seems troubled. A bank has a very nice branch office on the main floor. But the bank does very little business. There is always empty space for rent in the building. It seems like one of those cursed spots. I realized the problem today walking by. There is a tree right near the entrance to the building which birds love. You look under the tree and you’d think every bird in town uses this tree for its pooping perch. It is a little like building a building in Africa on an ancient elephant path. How do you re-route the wildlife? In this case, the building sits on some ancient or maybe even recent bird toilet spot. No wonder people don’t walk into the building. They are grossed out and afraid of getting pooped on. It would be a simple solution to put owl shaped balloons and scare-crows in the tree. But someone in the property management division of this company never stood in front of the building and asked himself what the real problem with the building is. What is the real problem with your problem buildings? bye for now, Tron
