Sarah Little, PhoneSmart’s Secret Shop guru shares her happiness in working at PhoneSmart**Welcome to the PhoneSmart property management blog Sometimes I feel like I need a psychology degree just to go on with my workday. I wish I were able to definitively determine the motives behind the actions some coworkers and customers. Do you ever want to ask some one why they are wound so tight? I used to be like that. I was the person who couldn’t handle things done any other way then my own. I grew out of that phase when I went to college and gained more confidence. It helped me to be more calm and accepting of methods other than my own. And I found that life was much more enjoyable that way! We all encounter clients, coworkers, bosses, peers, and subordinates who think they know it all. And although we might not admit it, we’ve probably all been that person one or two times. While the world certainly needs its handful of perfectionists, I have grown to enjoy filling the role of the go-with-the-flow spot. That’s not to say I don’t like things done to my best ability- I do. But I won’t be losing sleep over the fact that some one else did it differently, or that some one else didn’t like the way I did something. I’ve worked for these types, perfectionists and more relaxed people. Sometimes I’ve worked under each type in the same company (that’s a challenge!). My preference is definitely the laid back fellow. There’s nothing worse than being micromanaged. I like to have room to breath. Phone Smart is the perfect fit for me because I am able to use a good measure of creativity. I am treated with respect and courtesy. My ideas are given serious consideration and even if they are not put into action, I am always encouraged to take that idea to management. I feel that I have all the freedom that I need to strive for personal goals and achievements. No matter what your task it makes the work easier if you are not stressed out and always flinching when the boss calls your name, in this company coming to work is a joy.
