Shelter
Shelter
- Welcome to the property management blog, our window into the world of proeprty management. What would you do if one of your properties became the defacto shelter for people in an emergency? How would your staff handle the situation? If your street flooded or was hit with an earthquake and people fled into your building, would they be better off in yout building or out on the street? What liability to you invite if people do turn your building in to a shelter? What could you do to helkp them in the short term? I don’t have any good answers to these qeustions, but I think you need to ask yourself these and other questions about emergency preparations and the first week of events after a disaster.
