If you want to keep that expensive T.V. or sound system in good shape, you should invest in a climate-controlled unit.      One other thing that will not react well to heat, humidity or cold is photos or photo albums. Pictures will curl in humidity, and their delicate chemical compounds will break down more quickly in extremely hot temperature. So, if you are going to put several albums full of precious family photos into your unit, it may be worth the extra money to rent a climate-controlled unit. Value Versus Expense      Over all, climate-controlled units are more expensive than normal units. You can, however, find the best price on these types of units simply by calling around to your local San Antonio self storage facilities. Also, you may consider renting a small climate-controlled unit just for those things you own that need this type of unit. You can then put your more hardy items into a regular warehouse unit. Be sure, though, that you thoroughly calculate pricing in this case so that you do not end up paying more than you should for your square footage.
