Get old and get spoiled
- Welcome to the property management blog, our window into the property management business. Senior housing is getting to be a serious concern and a serious business. I looked at a project today that creates a win-win situation. It is a rental arrangement where seniors rent an apartment in a building with limited services and a restaurant/pool/billiards room. The rent ain’t cheap, but the place was very nice. It allows older folks to life large. They can enjoy apartment life in a nice, new building with the conveniences of a hotel and the peace of mind knowing helpers will show up if you need them. The cost is not that much more than the cost of owning and maintaining a single family house. If the future of old people will be resort-style living, then I am in favor of getting old and moving in.
