Welcome to PhoneSmart’s business blog, your inside peek at the property management industry.

Quiet Please, I am on the phone with a potential tenant!

What do our callers hear in the back ground when we are on the phone with them? I hope they only hear me giving them lots of good information, answering their questions and making a reservation for storage.

It was just last week when I was on the phone with a potential tenant that I found myself apologizing for the noise in the background. The noise was coming from several people who were busy talking about their extracurricular activities.

  1. Never chew gum when you are taking calls**2. Do not eat crunchy foods on the phone
  2. If you need to take a drink do not gulp
  3. Try not to rattle papers around your headset
